Stars and Stripes Afghan
An Abundant Idea designed by Linda Lynn
and a Free Pattern from Abundant Yarn Online.
Featuring Cascade Avalon, this baby-soft afghan is inspired by Old Glory, and you’ll feel like Betsy Ross as you use intarsia to make white stars on a field of blue. The "stars” are 13 white stars on a blue background, knitted in intarsia (or stranded, if you prefer). Intarsia instructions include yarn lengths for each bobbin. The "stripes” are alternating garter stitch and stockinette stitch.
