It is now undeniably Spring in Spokane. Early as it is, there are buds gently preparing to unfurl on the tips of the lilac branches and little bits of green peeking through the soil in the garden. Although the sun has been doing its part to call everyone outdoors, there is still a bit of a nip in the air, which brings me to my most recent sweater need. I really wish I were working on Knitting Pure and Simple’s Neck Down One Button Cardigan. Knit in DK yarn, it is the perfect weight for this transitional time. A low V-neck and single button front provide plenty of ventilation for when the weather gets warmer and the ¾ length sleeves won’t get in the way while I dig in the dirt. Plus, DK is my favorite weight of yarn, which means that, were I to knit this sweater, I would be able to use Rowan’s Felted Tweed, Elsebeth Lavold’s Silky Wool, or Queensland’s beautiful Rustic DK.
