The sun is warm, the breezes are cool, and I am on the go! I'm in the parks and the Farmer's Markets, in the garden and on the porch, under the trees with my feet in the grass. The arrival of Summer opens up a whole new series of places for me to knit, and boy am I knitting. But you know what...I'm not knitting socks and I really wish I were. Socks are the quintesential Summer knitting project. They are small and portable, they aren't a big, hot, wooly project on your lap, and they often have easily memorized pattern repeats. If any of you happen to find yourself with a long car drive ahead of you this weekend, I hope you will knit some socks on my behalf. Need more guidance? You should knit Chrissy Gardiner's Flame Thrower Socks. These snazzy socks will show off your favorite brightly variegated sock yarns, and the pattern repeat is easily memorized. It's perfect beach knitting!
Special Stash Sale Yarn. Each 4oz skein is one of a kind, so make sure to snag your favorite quick!
One of my favorite sock yarns, Lorna's color are hypnotic; I just can't stop knitting once I've started. Well, that's one way to get the socks finished!
